This very awesome BMW Concept car was spotted driving along on track (so not entirely in the wild). The Vision Efficient Dynamics Hybrid-Diesel car is said to reach 62.5 gallons to the mile and well from a personal standpoint, is one of the most impressive looking hybrid cards to date. The VED packs 98 high efficiency lithium ion batteries along with a three-cylinder common-rail turbodiesel and an electric motor on each axle.

For a closer look at what this astonishing car is all about, check out the promo demo video by BMW.
