In a rather interesting piece of analysis by Horace Dediu at Asymco Market Intelligence, given how much cash reserves Apple have, they probably have about enough “Cash, Cash Equivalents, Short-term marketable securities and long-term Marketable Securities” all amounting to roughly $70 billion to buy out the rest of the mobile phone industry.
