Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Tips

I hope you’re having a blast in Modern Warfare 3 – I know I am! After beating the campaign and messing around in Special Ops, it’s Multiplayer time. So I thought I’d provide these: Five useful facts that’ll help your performance on the Battlefield. Let’s get right into it!

5. Upgrade Your UAV

One of the coolest additions, in my opinion, to MW3′s multiplayer is a little detail that can make all the difference. It’s the upgradeable UAV – if your team calls up three UAVs at once in the air, they’re replaced by an Advanced UAV automatically. The UAV is also the only reward that is found in both the Assault and Support strike chains, so there’s no excuse not to use it on the battlefield!

4. Getting The Golden Gun

Want to get that shiny gold camouflage for your favourite weapon? The way to unlock it is to get your weapon level to 31, by getting kills and headshots with it. As you’re cruising through the unlock levels, you’ll think it isn’t such a tall order. But level 31 is the longest level of all, requiring approximately three times as many points as all of the other weapon levels put together. Still, it’s an achieveable figure once you find your favourite gun!

3. Predator Missiles Are Better Than You’d Think

Predator missiles are an overlooked kill streak in my opinion, capable of causing surprising amounts of devastation. That goes double on objective modes with clumped enemies, like Domination or Headquarters. To use them to their full potential, you can activate their boost ability when you’ve locked onto a target. This’ll speed the missile up greatly, but will cause it to become very difficult to steer. You can also use Predator missiles in this way to destroy enemy air support, such as helicopters, from inside a building – the only possible way to do this.

2. Taking Down a Juggernaut

Having problems taking down a juggernaut? Surprisingly, one of the fastest ways to kill a Juggernaut-suited soldier is to knife them, taking only five hits from full health. There’s one way that’s faster though – hitting them with your riot shield! For some reason, that does even more damage, needing only four hits to destroy. To perform these quick takedowns, just stun the juggernaut with a flash or stun grenade, or force him to take cover with a hail of gunfire. Once he’s suppressed, move in for the kill!

1. MOAB

The MOAB (an initialism of Mother Of All Bombs) is a hidden killstreak reward, requiring 25 kills without dying to achieve. You can earn it on all three strike packages (Assault, Support and Specialist) and don’t need to select it yourself. Once you reach 25 kills without dying (or 24 with Hardline), you can call it in. Like the Nuke in Modern Warfare 2, the MOAB kills every enemy player, all enemy equipment and also causes an EMP. The MOAB also tints the map red and causes double experience points gains for the rest of the round, for your whole team.

I hope you found these hints useful! Now get out there and play smarter!
