Read more →This video will bring no comfort for doomsday soothsayers who’ve predicted that robots will be the reason for humanity’s downfall. Over in Zurich at the ETH Flying Machine Arena, the clever scientists who’ve previously managed to program robots to play the piano have now managed to accurately program a pair of quadrocopters to play badminton together with unerring accuracy. The degree of accuracy required for these robots to work in tandem with each other is quite astounding and leads the way for more accurate aerial robotics.
Read more →Do you remember that little floating house from the hit movie “Up”? Well the guys over at the Discovery channel have made an actual version of the famous Up house and guess what, it floats with balloons! Of course the interior isn’t much to look at but still National Geographic have managed to lift the 16x16x18′ house to an incredible altitude of over 10,000 feet. It used 300 8′ helium balloons and astonishingly flew for over an hour.
