Read more →In Empire Strikes Back, Emperor Palpatine was originally played by a woman. Specifically by the wife of makeup director Rick Baker. The voice of the Emperor was voiced over by Clive Revill and to give the Emperor a truly evil look, a chimpanzee’s eyes was superimposed onto Elaine Baker’s face.
Of course George Lucas would never let you see this, so your best chance of catching the version is either the YouTube video above or the original VHS tape.
Read more →Big news yesterday as the long awaited trailer to next year’s biggest comic book movie finally came out and into the open. We see all the main characters in their respective outfits along with newcomers Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Aside from a very Transformer-esque opening sequence, the rest of the trailer looks just as you’d expect with the usual hollywood dose of explosions and flipping cars. The Avengers is due for release in May 2012.
